We have a 17 year old male orange tabby with Hyperthyroid and he needs all the calories he can get. He's *very* picky about what he will eat. He won't eat any of the High Calorie goo supplements you can get, he hates them. Right now he has at least one of these a day for extra calories, on top of his other food and treats. I wish there were a bit more in each pouch for how much they cost, but they were meant to be treats for normal cats. The other 3 kitties in the house will try to steal his saucer with this on it. If that's not an endorsement for it, Idk what is lol.Other thoughts: This food doesn't have a strong smell but it does smell fishy. It doesn't stink up my bedroom which is where we give it to him. I've never received an out of date order, they're always fresh. The pouches are small but meant to be a treat so that's fine. Helps keep my cat's weight up, good value for the cost (for how we use it) but not sure I would buy this as a regular treat; maybe just for christmas or their birthdays

Great inexpensive way to get my senior cat to take a crushed up pill instead of shoving it down his throat. Too traumatic for an old cat. Each packet lasts for 4-6 pill doses. Just mixed the crushed pill in about a teaspoon of the liquid treat.

I had a very old cat who recently passed away. In her senior years she couldn't eat the hard food like she used to. We noticed for a while even with the wet food she was still losing weight. We got her these because they were easy for her to eat and helped her keep the weight on. She looked forward to eating these. She lived to be 18 years old and honestly I think these really helped her when she couldn't eat like she used to. I would not recommend these to someone who has a cat that's fat but it's for sure helpful if you are in a situation like I was or if you want to give your car a nice treat.

My sick cat who had very poor appetite loved this puree during the final days of her life.My only wish and concern, and same for all these Food Toppers , is lack of nutrition. Why can’t somebody make a puree that can substitute for a meal, Be the meal.On the other hand, it was gratifying to see her enjoying while she was sick. RIP, baby.

She loves this stuff. I add a little water to give her more. Big hit!!

Although cats love the taste, it is not a substitute for nutritional food. It does add calories and usually works for picky eaters as a topper.
